FINE JEWELLERY, WATCHES, SILVER & COINS 25th March 2026 at 12pm

4 The resurgence in popularity of styles, trends, and aesthetics from past decades has become more evident in recent jewellery auctions, with an upsurge in bidding. Antique items need to be more than 100 years old to be described as such so anything pre – 1925 is antique, ‘Vintage’ is more of a loose term but anything between the age of 99 years and 30 years old are generally though of as vintage, as time moves more items fall into the vintage category and things that were once ‘second hand’ of ‘grannyish’ are now proudly calling themselves vintage and are highly sought after in recent times. Georgian,Victorian, Edwardian and the Ar t Deco period have always been popular and remain so but recently we have seen a big increase in interest in items from the Mid Century through to 70’s and 80’s and even 90’s.This is much to do with fashion as well as a desire to purchase pre – loved items that have less impact on the planet and the pocket! We always have a great selection in our monthly auctions and I have put together a sample of vintage items in our for thcoming March Auction: DYING FOR Vintage LIVE AUCTION OF FINE JEWELLERY, WATCHES, SILVER & COINS • WEDNESDAY, 25th MARCH 2026 AT 12PM Lot 98: AN OLD CUT DIAMOND CLUSTER RING, Retro style, the old mine cut diamond to diamond surround, mounted in platinum.
